South Sacramento Quilts for Kids

We make quilts for kids in crisis from donated and discontinued fabric.

Create a Quilt

Three easy ways to create a Quilt for Kids

1. Pick up one of our quilt kits

Kits come with fabric and easy to follow instructions - even for a first time quilter.

Contact Malissa at SouthSacQFK@yahoo.com to pick up a kit - or even have one delivered.

Complete the quilt top, add batting and backing, machine quilt and return to QFK. It will be delivered to a local child.

If you aren't ready to machine quilt, return the completed top, and we'll quilt and deliver it for you.

2. Create a quilt from your own materials

Check your stash! There's bound to be some cheerful fabrics that will quickly work up into a darling quilt. QFKs offers free patterns. Check our quilt guidelines for special requirements for donations to children in hospitals.

If you have a stash, but no time, we'll gladly take those extra bits and pieces off your hands.

3. Join one of our quilting classes

We're still new and don't quite have them organized yet, but we're planning to offer quilting classes - we'll provide the fabric, pattern, and instruction. At the end of the class, you'll have completed a quilt to donate to QFK....and have a new skill for creating your own quilts.

If you would be interested in coming to one of our classes, please contact Malissa (SouthSacQFK@yahoo.com) with whether you'd like evening or weekend classes and where you live.
